The United States Fish and Wildlife Service is offering a grant to train and introduce youth to conservation through on-site activities at field stations. Participants will work with natural resource professionals to explore careers in conservation. The goal is to cultivate a new generation of conservationists and ecologists. Seasonal assignments between June and September will involve hands-on experiences in invasive species management, habitat restoration, wildlife management, and public education. Proposals are sought for administering a program to recruit individuals or groups for assignments at various USFWS stations. Closing date for submissions is February 17, 2012.
