USAID/Southern Africa has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking input to strengthen skills development initiatives aimed at facilitating a just transition in the region. The initiative, titled “Sustainable Skills for a Just Transition (SS4JT),” targets Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) graduates, particularly in Mpumalanga, to enhance their employability in green occupations. The program aims to align with the Government of South Africa’s (GoSA) strategies for skill development and economic diversification while addressing the challenges posed by the transition to clean energy. Interested parties are invited to contribute ideas for innovative programs to support job creation and enhance the quality of life in communities affected by energy transitions.
