This grant program by USAID West Africa and USFS/IP aims to support the expansion of the Sustainable and Thriving Environments for West African Regional Development Phase III (STEWARD III) program. It seeks applications from NGOs, community organizations, public institutions, and businesses to promote biodiversity conservation, climate change adaptation, and sustainable livelihoods in the Upper Guinean Forest ecosystem. The Strategic Activities Fund (SAF) provides funding for innovative initiatives to be implemented in the STEWARD priority zones in Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Ivory Coast. Deadline for applications is October 5, 2011.
