This program offered by the Office of Citizen Exchanges, Youth Programs Division supports a three-week French language exchange in the U.S. for youth and adult participants from six Francophone countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. The focus is on civic education, youth leadership, and community engagement, including implementing service projects in participants’ home communities. U.S. Embassies will handle participant selection and travel arrangements, while the recipient organization will organize U.S.-based programming, such as homestays with American families. Proposals from eligible non-profit organizations are accepted until November 26, 2012.
