The Environmental Department is offering the Watershed Intern Program to support watershed organizations in 13 states by providing funds for hiring interns. The interns will work on projects aimed at enhancing the organizations’ sustainability and directly contributing to the remediation of acid mine drainage. Eligible institutions include private and public nonprofit organizations, as well as established watershed groups in specified states. This grant is open to undergraduate and graduate students nationwide who are passionate about environmental cleanup efforts. Applications are accepted until September 30, 2013.
