The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) is offering grants to support Fellowship Programs at Independent Research Institutions (FPIRI). These grants provide scholars with valuable research time and resources at institutions dedicated to advanced study in the humanities. Fellowship programs may be run by independent centers, libraries, museums, or American overseas research centers. Priority is given to programs with rich collections that can benefit NEH fellows. FPIRI grants fund humanities fellowships lasting four to twelve months, covering stipends and a portion of fellowship selection costs. Indirect costs are not covered. Individual scholars must apply to the institutions directly. Application deadline is Aug 16, 2012.
